All this can be found within easy walking distance to more than 2,000 hotel rooms and Anchorage’s lively downtown. A strong partnership between Visit Anchorage and the Anchorage Convention Centers makes booking and servicing your event a hassle-free experience. We invite you to elevate your next event at the Anchorage Convention Centers!

The “Dena’ina” or “First People” were the first Alaskans dating back 10,000 years. The name Dena’ina was chosen to recognize the original Athabascan inhabitants of the Anchorage, Cook Inlet area. The spirit of the Dena’ina people is reflected in the stained-glass mural, the beaded sky curtain, traditional carvings, and other native artwork on display throughout both venues. The architecture and open spaces are designed around Alaska Native themes, including the use of natural materials and respect for the land and the environment.

Large panoramic windows in each venue bring the outdoors in. Throughout the seasons, visitors and guests can enjoy the ever-changing scenery that surrounds Anchorage: the Alaska Range and Cook Inlet to the west, Denali to the north, and the Chugach Range to the south and east.

Anchorage- Far From Ordinary

With many direct flights from most major hubs, abundant meeting space and plenty of first-class hotel rooms, Anchorage is ready and able to host meetings of up to 5,000 people. Anchorage is a modern city with a mild climate and a population of more than 280,000. With its coastal location, and the protection offered by the Chugach Mountain Range, visitors are often pleasantly surprised by the comfortable climate. Though Alaska often conjures up images of breathtaking wilderness, Anchorage is a modern city with all the amenities to ensure a successful meeting. Because of Anchorage’s unique location within Alaska’s natural wonders, the city serves as a perfect springboard into a variety of pre- and post- convention adventures. Whether delegates choose to stay in town for a spa experience, trek south along the coast on a National scenic byway, feast on the bounty of fresh seafood, enjoy a whale-watching cruise, touch a glacier, or take off from Lake Hood for an incredible flightseeing tour, Anchorage, Alaska is far from ordinary.
